Announcement letter to stakeholders: Our planning framework, Phase 1

Dear Theatre Stakeholders,

We are writing to inform you of our plans to take the next six months to develop a plan for strategic growth at TLHD. This plan will inform our long-term master planning.

At TLHD, we understand the importance of having a clear and unified vision for our organization. To that end, we will be engaging with staff, the board, community members, artists, and volunteers to develop a plan that takes into consideration the context of our current situation.

We believe that this process of consensus-building will be essential in ensuring that our organization is well-positioned for the future. By involving a diverse range of stakeholders, we will be able to consider a wide range of perspectives and identify areas where we can grow and improve.

We have agreed that, for now, investing resources in long-term facilities, beyond what we need to function short-term, would be unwise. We vow to be good stewards of the funding we’ve received from our community.

Ultimately, the goal of this process is to arrive at a strategic intent and shared vision for TLHD that will guide our long-term master plan, including programming, financial management, site and property, and facilities. We believe that by taking the time to engage in this process now, we will be able to make strategic decisions that will benefit our organization and the communities we serve for years to come.

We look forward to working with all of our stakeholders in the coming months and are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead.
