Jeremiah Gamble (Writer, Ethan) is a playwright, performer and producer who has been working professionally in the Twin Cities for over twenty-five years. He’s usually busy making theater with his wife, Vanessa with their theater company, Bucket Brigade. Together they portray over 100 different characters in their fifteen original shows. They and their three cute kids live and make art in Saint Paul. Up next- Jeremiah performs in Big, Little Monster, his new original musical, premiering this fall with Bucket Brigade!
Vanessa Gamble (Writer, Olivia) has performed and/or worked with just about every major theater company in the Twin Cities & also co-founded 2 companies of her own: Theater for the Thirsty & Bucket Brigade Theater. She loves summer so much she’d like to marry it, but she can’t because she’s already currently married to the guy who plays Ethan in this show.
Nathan Cousins (Leslie) is a born and bred Minnesota boy who grew up in the woods, a real-life boy scout. He and his real-life wife Stephanie, have lived in New York City for the past 4 years, acting, slingin' java, and starting a church. They live in Brooklyn with their daughter Judith (2 years) who's about to be a big sister and is counting down the days until she can get a ride on the back of papa's motorbike, "Babe".
Stephanie Cousins (Freddie) is STOKED to be taking a much needed hiatus from the hubbub of NYC and to be back with the Bucket Brigade gang! A Minnesota native, she's done various works around town through the years, but considers this opportunity especially top-shelf, as she gets to work with dear friends and her very own, real-life husband! And in the woods to boot! Three cheers for nature! Enjoy the show!"
Elizabeth Efteland (Director) is a Minneapolis-based theatre artist who loves doing beautiful hilarious shows with beautiful hilarious people. By the time you read this, she'll probably be on a canoe in Lake of the Woods, because she loves that, too. But she'll be laughing (& crying) from afar, just thinking of the hilarity you're about to witness.
Jill Dawe (Accompanist) has collaborated with many composers and artists in this region and is a frequent performer with Nautilus Music-Theater (Adam and Eve, I am Anne Frank, Alice Unwrapped, Rough Cuts Series, Composer-Librettist Studio). She is also a professor at Augsburg University and enjoys birding, biking and hiking.
Bonni Allen (Stage Manager) is ecstatic to be back at beautiful TLHD! She has enjoyed being on stage at TLHD in several productions: Disenchanted as Cinderella, Don't Hug Me, A Don't Hug Me County Fair, Sisters of Swing, Beyond the Rainbow, Fishing Widows, Quilters, Love, Loss, and What I Wore, The Pavilion, and Mom's The Word.
Courtney Schmitz (Lighting Design) earned her MFA in lighting design from the University of Iowa in 2009. Locally, she has designed with DalekoArts, Theatre Unbound, Yellow Tree Theatre, nimbus theatre, crash.dance productions, SPARK dance + theatre, Artistry, Collective Unconscious, and 20% Theatre Company, among others. Currently Courtney works full-time with Staging Concepts.
Dalen O’Connell (Technical Director) is a freelance Tech Director, scene designer, and scenic carpenter. His most recent work includes Technical Director for Highland Summer Theatre, Scenic designer for Totino-Grace High School and carpenter at The Guthrie. Dalen is a recent graduate of MNSU, Mankato, and even more recently a first time parent to a wonderful baby boy.
Betsy Mills (Choreographer) is the Co-Artistic Director of SPARK theater + dance alongside her husband, Corey Mills and their two treasures, Lily and Jon. She has a BFA in Dance from the University of Minnesota, has danced with GGG Dance, Jolene Konkel, and in her own work, and has choreographed for Bucket Brigade, Open Window Theatre, Homeward Bound Theatre Company and middle school musicals.
