Jim has been a member of the board since April, 2019. He has served as a planning consultant for over 100 non-profit organizations in eighteen states after a successful career as a college professor and administrator. He holds a BA and MA in English from Colorado State University and a Ph.D. in English from The University of Arizona. He taught college English before serving as the chief academic officer at Wartburg College, St. Olaf College, and Pacific Lutheran University. He and his wife Jan, both Colorado natives, moved to Alexandria from Washington state in 2016 to be closer to children and grandchildren who live here and in Bloomington. They enjoy art, music, and theatre and learning more about Minnesota history and culture. The long-term sustainability of Theatre L’Homme Dieu is his primary interest in serving on the Board of Directors.
