Job Description: Production Assistant - TLHD’s 64th Season
The Production Assistant works with the rest of the TLHD team to create and sustain the organizational structure necessary to advance Theatre L’Homme Dieu’s mission.

Type: Full-Time, Seasonal (Summer 2024)
Reports To: Production Manager

Theatre L'Homme Dieu (TLHD) is a revered institution in the heart of Alexandria, MN, dedicated to bringing vibrant theatrical performances and enriching the cultural landscape of the community. With a history of presenting a diverse array of shows ranging from classic plays to contemporary performances, TLHD is a summer destination for theatre lovers, and also a variety of musical concert offerings.
Position and Responsibilities
Reports to the Production Manager.
Assist with load in, hang/focus, tech, opening, and strike of all productions in the 2024 Theatre L’Homme Dieu season.
Serve as the lighting or sound operator for each production as needed.
Complete daily maintenance and projects as assigned.
Assist the Production and Operations Managers with management of TLHD campus.
Assist with the opening and closing of the TLHD campus at the beginning and end of the season if employed those weeks.
Assist Operations Manager with the care and management of the TLHD campus. Including, but not limited to assisting in arranging maintenance, cleaning and repairs of the lodging cabins, and/or maintaining the compound’s buildings.
Attend all staff meetings and TLHD events.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
Other duties as assigned. Including but not limited to assisting FOH, shop/carpentry tasks, hospitality, groundskeeping, and building maintenance.
Required Skills
Thorough technical knowledge of theatrical lighting and sound systems.
Enjoy working for an exciting small business with multiple, fast-paced demands.
Outstanding communication skills.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Accountability, Reliability, and Punctuality.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced high-stress environment.
Ability to positively interact with co-workers, touring Companies, and the public / patrons.
Ability to work with minimal direction or supervision.
Preferred Skills
Ability to lift 100 pounds.
Proficiency in QLAB, ETC EOS, and/or Allen and Heath iLive.
Experience working with wireless audio systems.
Proficiency in electrical and soldering skills.
Proficiency in Carpentry
